A Degree in Horticulture or an allied discipline coupled with a broad range of professional, technical and specialist skills and experience obtained through a diverse range of relevant employment, including at a senior management le*

A thorough understanding and demonstrated experience in the identification and resolution of contemporary park management issues.*

An appropriate mix of specialist knowledge and skills sufficient to ensure that the Parks infrastructure assets, programs and services for which the Unit is responsible, as described in the above Key Functions & Responsibilities, are planned, designed implemented and maintained at the highest standard and at the optimum levels and cost. *

Demonstrated ability to provide direction, leadership and support to employees, to motivate and performance manage employees and work effectively within a team environment.*

Highly developed verbal communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to lead engaging and informative presentations and discussions. *

Highly developed skills to prepare written reports and discussion papers for senior management and the Council including policies, practices, strategic and business plans.*

Demonstrated knowledge of project management practices and high level technical skills to plan, implement and evaluate projects and services*

Current Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and Police Check.*
